Diane -- comment continued This woman, or rather the image you have created out of her here in this portrait, is Clara Bow and Isadora Duncan rolled into one -- if that's not Daisy Bucanan, who is???

Diane This is one of he finest portraits I've ever seen. You created a portrait of a fictional character that exactly embodies what Fitzgerald wanted this character to be -- ravishingly beautiful in a strange unknowable way, a total enigma whose mystery is more powerful than her beauty. All the Daisy's in all the Gatsby films, even the exquisite Baz Luhrmann version, which I own a copy of and have seen repeatedly, are MISTAKENLY blond, and none of them exude the sense of mystery you invoke here, nor are any as stylish!!! This woman (provided she could act) should have been cast for Daisy -- you have it exactly right!! BRAVO!!!
Diane Diederich replied:
Ken...thank you so much! I agree about this model...she can do anything (she is also the model for my ballet series and the white woman series) a real chameleon! Thanks again for your thoughtful critique :)
Alana Ranney
